Fluorescent lights have been around for decades, but today’s high-output versions bear little resemblance to their older cousins from years past. Electronic ballasts, coupled with improved phosphors and high efficiency designs for lamp envelopes and reflectors, yields a new generation of linear fluorescent systems suitable for many applications, including lighting for offices (surface mount, drop-in recess, or suspended fixtures) and for warehouse or production facilities, both high bay and low bay.

Converting existing T12 or T8 fixtures to the more efficient T5 lamps and ballasts, using Brenco’s exclusive retrofit system, is often a viable option because it saves the property owner the cost of a complete new installation. In such cases the number of lamps per fixture might even be reduced, with no decrease in illumination value or quality of light.
